Aspiring to be a flat learning organization
One of the exciting things about working in an “emerging” field like IWOM is that we at CIC are continually learning, reflecting, trying new things and then starting the process all over again. Even when we think we do have an answer, we realize that the answer needs to be updated based on further experience and reflection.
We strive to have an organization that teaches everyone to continually learn and share with everyone else in the company so that as a company, we can continue to grow and innovate in this dynamic industry that is by far from mature. A reflection that we are having some success in this regard is a post yesterday from Jason about the role of the long tail in BBS forums. Jason, along with others at CIC, have been working hard at refining the concept of efluencers and influence on Chinese BBS forums. They have been doing this on their own, with no push from me or anyone else. The motivation? To make CIC the best and bring the best to our clients. This attitude really makes me happy and proud to be at CIC.
